Success – Are you a Winner or a Loser?

Comments Off

Some people make better decisions, get better results, achieve more, and enjoy more happiness than other people… these people are what I’ll refer to as the ‘Winners’ in this life. They usually get successful results… And interestingly, more often than not, it has nothing to do with their talent, education, money, parents or background. Read the rest of this entry »

The benefits of love, truth, honesty, humility & gratitude

We are all here on this planet to be in service to others and when we can do this from a place of love, truth, honesty, humility and gratitude, then this is when life becomes truly meaningful, joyful and inspiring.

LOVE

Everything we do in life is ultimately to experience love… but while we constantly see ourselves as separate from others, it’s very difficult to know ‘true’ love. And until we can truly accept all our own humanness and the dualities that this brings, then we can’t truly love and accept ourselves or others… We can’t give what we don’t have!

As a human race we are constantly finding ways to separate ourselves… the creation of nations and flags / symbols to represent each nation is an example of this. The truth is that there is no separation of anything.

When we get that we are all one, we begin our journey of awakening and experiencing ‘true love’.

Once we totally accept that we live in a world of duality then spiritual growth can be very rapid. It is difficult to grow and learn if we can’t accept that we are all things… good / bad, right /wrong, loving / not loving, accepting / resisting etc. When we totally get this, we can feel compassion for those who do harmful things because we know that this potential is in all of us. However, although we feel compassion for someone who maybe doing harmful things, we don’t have to give it any energy.

If you want to see more compassion in the world, you have to live compassion first… that is, show compassion to everyone – family, close friends, strangers and so on…

…However, it is more important to start with your own family and your own community first… learn to show the people you love compassion and then you will experience a deep connection. Remember to also stop and show gratitude for them!

It is also important to feel compassion for yourself – forgive & love yourself!

HONESTY & TRUTH

98% of us aren’t actually honest – we tell half truths, we make up stuff, we pretend, we exaggerate, we deny and so on.

If we are ‘truly’ self-aware then we know our truth,
but most of us aren’t honest about this truth… often not even to ourselves, let alone others.

How do we Weave Truth with Honesty?

We just need to tell the simple truth without using our analytical mind… just feel from our heart and speak the truth from here.

If you lived the SIMPLE TRUTH, peace would be present immediately!

How to know our Truth…

UPSET FEELINGS, like fear, anger, rage, jealousy, sadness and so on can be the doorway to our truth – upset feelings reflect an inability to accept ‘what is’ and therefore provide an opportunity to gain more consciousness and to open up more, allowing for healing and a deeper connection with ourselves, others & life.

So don’t fight the process… It’s perfectly natural to feel all emotions, and in fact, it’s the only way to grow, to access your inner wisdom and uncover the TRUTH!
Many of us who are aspiring to live consciously and are getting help to grow on our spiritual journey can be under the illusion that if we experience ‘upset feelings’ like resentment, jealousy, anger, fear etc that we are failing to live a spiritual life because we’re not immediately Accepting ‘what is’, Loving and Surrendering – Letting go & Letting God! In my view, this is Crap!!!
Imagine if life were so ‘easy’ that you never felt ‘upset’ or challenged… what’s there to learn? What’s there to do? NOTHING! How boring would that be? In fact, if this were true, you probably wouldn’t be here having this human experience anyhow.

So relax, accept your humanness and try these steps in this order to uncover your truth…

1. FEEL your ‘FEELINGS’ – Allow yourself to fully feel whatever comes up for you without judging it and even tell your story about it.
2. OBSERVE Yourself – Now look objectively at the story that led to your feelings
3. Collapse your Story – Realize the illusion of it and let it go
4. Re-frame your Story – Find the ‘gift’ and purpose in what happened & create a new story
5. Integrate your Wisdom - Use this ‘truth’ to live your life differently & to continue the never-ending journey of ‘healing’ and ‘growing’.

Find the Courage to be Honest!

Now that you know your truth, you need the courage to be honest… this means making yourself vulnerable and finding the OFF SWITCH to…
Caring about what people will think
Worrying about if you will be liked / loved or not
Concerned if you will be approved of or not
Worrying about other people’s feelings or reaction to your truth
Being Fearful of the results

HUMILITY

Being humble requires going within and looking at oneself without any judgment at all… that is, accepting ALL of your humanness –
all the dualities that exist within you. Humility requires Self-LOVE, Self-WORTH, Self-ESTEEM & Self-ASSURANCE.
If you don’t have these, you will continue to defend yourself and blame others for your circumstances. You will tell ‘poor me’ stories and find distractions so you don’t have to look at yourself.

Humility is required for Growth… so without humility you stay stuck and become like a stagnant pond with no flowing water… everything eventually dies, including your soul.

Self-Righteousness is BEING RIGHT
Humility is BEING HAPPY!
So it’s your choice – To be Right or To be Happy!

GRATITUDE

Appreciation and Gratitude allows for more… more healing, more love, more happiness, more abundance, more intimacy, deeper connections and so on.

Here’s a simple practice to attract more of what you want into your life –
Every day tell someone, like your kids, your partner or your closest friends what you are grateful for.
Every day for 1 month write down 5 things that you are grateful for.
At the end of the month, notice what has changed… it may be as simple as your level of happiness or you may notice even more, but you will notice a positive difference in your life.

Learning to Live in Peace

Living a Peaceful Life is not easy, particularly in a world where there is so much pain and suffering…

Finding peace in this chaotic world is a choice however… We can choose what we expose our minds to, our beliefs and our thoughts. We create a lot of our own pain and suffering due to our thoughts… which aren’t even ‘true’ most of the time since they’re just our perception… a mere product of our beliefs & attitudes. Are you Living Authentically?

Comments Off

I recently posted – ‘success is being authentic’, so how do we really know if we are living authentically? … here’s a fantastic process or series of questions to help you find the authentic ‘you’.

Firstly, what does being ‘Authentic’ mean? It’s actually very difficult to define since it’s fluid, transparent, experiential and emotional. But ultimately being authentic means being vulnerable. So if you avoid being vulnerable, which can often feel quite scary, then it’s unlikely you’ll be able to live authentically. Read the rest of this entry »
